Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
The short version
- We collect what Resolute needs to run: your email address, the names you choose, and the goals and progress you record.
- We don't show ads, use ad trackers or behavior analytics, or sell your data.
- A small set of service providers host and run the app for us. They handle your data only to provide that service.
- You can ask for a copy of your data or have your account deleted at any time.
Who we are
Resolute is an independent app built and run by a solo developer in Austin, Texas. In this policy, "Resolute," "we" and "us" mean the operator of Resolute, the app at app.resoluterpg.com and this website at resoluterpg.com.
What we collect
Your account
- Email address. Used to sign you in with a one-time link. Resolute has no passwords.
- Handle and display name. The username and name you choose for your profile.
What you put into Resolute
- Your goals and how they're configured (categories, targets, schedules, Hold Days).
- What you log each day, including any numbers you enter, such as hours slept or minutes read.
- Game progress the app calculates from that: levels, stats, streaks, weekly results, quest battles, gold and items.
Your goals are whatever you choose to track. Please don't record anything in Resolute you'd want treated as sensitive information, such as medical details.
Beta access requests
If you request beta access on this website, we store your email address, plus your first name and your answer about what you want to get better at, if you provide them.
Technical information
Like any website, our hosting and database providers automatically receive basic request information, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request. They use it to deliver the service, keep it secure and troubleshoot problems, and keep it only for a limited time.
Payments (when paid plans launch)
When Resolute offers paid plans, payments will be handled by a payment provider (such as Stripe, Apple or Google) and subscription status will be managed by RevenueCat. We will never see or store your full card number. RevenueCat receives your Resolute account ID, your purchase history and your email address. We fill in your email at checkout so your receipts and subscription management reach the same address as your account. RevenueCat does not receive your name or anything you record in Resolute.
What we don't collect
- Your location. (We see your time zone so your days and weeks line up with your clock.)
- Your contacts, photos or other data from your device.
- Advertising identifiers, or any data from ad networks or data brokers.
How we use it
- To run Resolute: sign you in, save your goals and progress, and calculate your weekly results and battles.
- To email you about your account, such as sign-in links, and about the beta if you requested access.
- To keep Resolute secure and fix problems.
We don't use your data for advertising, we don't build profiles of you for anyone else, and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
Who helps us run Resolute
These service providers process data on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
| Provider | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and sign-in | Your account details, everything you record in Resolute, and beta requests |
| Vercel | Hosts the app and this website | Basic request information (IP address, browser, pages requested) |
| Resend | Delivers emails such as sign-in links | Your email address and the email's contents |
| RevenueCat | Manages subscriptions (when paid plans launch) | Your account ID, your email address (for receipts and subscription management) and your purchase history |
| Payment provider | Processes payments (when paid plans launch) | Your payment details, which they handle under their own privacy policy |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of Resolute's users. If Resolute is ever sold or transferred to a new owner, your data would go with it under the protections in this policy, and we would tell you first.
What other players can see
Today, nothing you record in Resolute is visible to other users. When social features such as guilds launch, other players may be able to see your handle, display name and champion. Your goals and daily logs stay private unless a future feature asks you to share them and you choose to.
Cookies and browser storage
Resolute stores your sign-in session in your browser so you stay logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and this website sets no cookies at all.
How long we keep it
- Your account and app data are kept for as long as your account exists.
- When you delete your account, your goals, logs, progress, items and profile are deleted. Your former handle stays reserved for a short period so no one can immediately impersonate you. That record is no longer linked to your account.
- Beta requests are kept until the beta ends or you ask us to remove yours.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in our database provider's backups for a limited time before it is overwritten.
Your choices and rights
You can, at any time:
- See and edit your goals, handle and display name in the app.
- Ask for a copy of your data.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete your account and data.
To make a request, email privacy@resoluterpg.com from the address on your account. We'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit between your device and our servers. Database rules restrict each account to reading and changing only its own data, and sign-in uses one-time email links, so there are no passwords to leak. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your data seriously and will notify you if a breach affects it.
Children
Resolute isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how your data is used in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
