Terms of Service
Last updated: October 9, 2026
The short version
- Resolute is free to use, with an optional Premium subscription.
- Premium renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime and keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
- We don't give refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires one.
- Your goals and logs are yours. Gold, items and other in-game rewards have no cash value.
- Resolute is a motivation tool, not medical, fitness or professional advice.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Resolute, an independent developer in Austin, Texas ("Resolute," "we" or "us"). They cover your use of the Resolute app at app.resoluterpg.com and this website at resoluterpg.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Who can use Resolute
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Resolute.
- If you're under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use Resolute only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
- You must be an adult, or have a parent or guardian's permission and payment method, to buy a Premium subscription.
3. Your account
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address, so access to your email is access to your Resolute account. Please keep your email account secure and use an address you control. Each account is for one person. You're responsible for activity on your account, and you should tell us right away at support@resoluterpg.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
Handles and display names must not impersonate anyone, infringe anyone's rights, or be offensive or misleading. We may change or reclaim a handle that breaks this rule.
4. Using Resolute fairly
When you use Resolute, you agree not to:
- break the law, or use Resolute to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
- access or try to access other people's accounts or data;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service, or probe it for security weaknesses without our permission;
- use bots, scripts or other automation to access the Service, or scrape it;
- deliberately exploit bugs or errors to gain progress, gold or items (please report them to us instead);
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
5. Your content
The goals, logs, names and other information you enter ("your content") belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run and improve the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You're responsible for what you enter. Please don't record anything you'd want treated as sensitive information, such as medical details.
6. Not professional advice
Resolute helps you track habits and goals, and turns your progress into a game. It doesn't give medical, health, fitness, nutrition, mental health, financial or other professional advice. Scores, levels, stats and results are game mechanics. They don't assess your health or wellbeing. Talk to a qualified professional before starting a new exercise, diet or health routine, and use your own judgment about the goals you set.
7. Free and Premium plans
Resolute has a free plan and a paid plan, Premium. The free plan includes a limited number of active goals. Premium removes that limit and may include other benefits we describe in the app. We may change what each plan includes over time. If a change takes away a Premium benefit you're paying for, we'll tell you in advance.
8. Subscriptions and billing
How billing works
- Premium is a subscription billed in advance, monthly or yearly. The price, billing period and any taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Payments on the web are processed by our payment partners, RevenueCat and Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- If we change the price of your plan, we'll tell you before the change applies to you, so you have time to cancel if you don't want to continue.
Cancelling
You can cancel anytime through the subscription management link in your purchase emails, or in the app once it's available there. You can also email support@resoluterpg.com and we'll help. When you cancel, your subscription won't renew, and you keep Premium until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we'll try again for a short grace period, during which you keep Premium and can update your payment details. If payment still doesn't go through, your subscription ends and your account returns to the free plan.
Free trials and promotions
If we offer a free trial, discount or promotional code, its terms will be shown when you sign up. Unless you cancel before a trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the price shown. Complimentary Premium we grant, for example to beta testers, may be ended at our discretion with notice.
Purchases through app stores
If Resolute becomes available through the Apple App Store or Google Play and you subscribe there, that store handles billing, cancellation and refunds under its own terms.
9. Refunds
Payments are non-refundable, and we don't give refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused time, except where the law requires a refund. We may choose to grant a refund in other cases, at our discretion. If you think you were charged in error, email support@resoluterpg.com and we'll look into it.
10. When Premium ends
When your Premium subscription ends, your account returns to the free plan. If you have more active goals than the free plan allows, the extras are archived at the next weekly reset. Archiving isn't deleting: archived goals keep their full history. You can choose which goals stay active by archiving some yourself before the reset, and you can restore archived goals later within your plan's limit. If you subscribe again, archived goals aren't restored automatically, but you can restore them yourself.
11. Gold, items and game progress
Gold, items, experience, levels and other in-game rewards are part of the game. They have no monetary value, can't be bought, sold or exchanged for money, and can't be transferred to another account. We may adjust, rebalance or reset game mechanics, prices and rewards to keep the game working well, and this may affect your in-game balances or progress.
12. Changes to the Service
Resolute is actively developed, and features will change over time. We may add, change or remove features, and the Service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We'll try to give notice of significant changes.
13. Ending your account
You can stop using Resolute and ask us to delete your account at any time. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it first, because deleting your account doesn't by itself entitle you to a refund. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we must do so by law. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first.
14. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, artwork, champions and the Resolute name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended. They don't give you any other rights to it. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that your data will never be lost.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you have a problem with Resolute, please contact us first at support@resoluterpg.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If we can't, any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. If a change is material, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
19. Other terms
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a part of these terms right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them if Resolute is sold or transferred to a new owner. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
